Being a part of exhibitions all about paper are my favorite! I’ll have three pieces in “Drawn to Paper” at Fulton Street Collective in Chicago during the month of July. The exhibition showcases work on, about, or created with paper and opens July 9th with a reception from 7-10pm. If you’ve never been to FSC, you should definitely check it out—it’s an amazing venue! The show is up for the entire month of July, with some great musical events going on in the gallery almost nightly.

I’m thrilled to announce that I have been chosen to be a “Featured Artist” for the 11th Annual Going Dutch Festival! The GD Festival, produced by Side Street Studio Arts, is a celebration of the female voice in dance, music, theater, and the visual arts. The 11th annual festival will be a bit different, but will be held virtually and around downtown Elgin June 2-12, 2021. The gallery at Side Street Studio Arts will officially open June 4th from 3-8pm.

As a “Featured Artist,” Side Street is allowing me to showcase two full installations along with a few framed pieces from my “Float” series. This will be the first time the “Shadowscape” and “Nature Enshrined” installations will be displayed as they were originally conceptualized. I hope to see you for the opening on June 4th, but if you are unable to make it, stay tuned for photos from the gallery install!

For two years as the Director of the St. Charles Arts Council I was a member of the organizing committee for the Fox River Arts Ramble. Now, I get to circle back as a participant! The Ramble is a one day arts tour around the Fox River Valley with several traditional and non-traditional arts venues participating. I’ll have two pieces from my “Float” series at Kava Diem in St. Charles as part of an exhibition organized by the St. Charles Arts Council. Stop by during the opening reception on Saturday, June 5th from 1:30-3:30pm or make it your first stop on the Ramble tour and grab some breakfast and a coffee. And, don’t worry- if you can’t participate in the one-day event, the exhibit will be up for the month through July 5th. Hope to see you there!

I’m super excited to share that two of my “Shadowscapes” will be on view at the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, MO as part of Paperworks IIV. The exhibition is open to the public starting Friday, November 20 and runs through January 7. Although the Foundry has plenty of space to spread out to allow for safe social distancing while viewing (and masks are required for entry), the exhibition will also be available for viewing online, from the comfort and safety of your own home, starting November 27. Please take a look in person or virtually!
