My Story:

I’m a stay-at-home mom of two wonderful kids and juggle that alongside my life as an artist. It’s an adventure for sure, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! My kids inspire my practice, and getting to see the world through their eyes have only opened mine more. Their play and curiosity often help me loosen up and get my creative juices flowing. I tried my hand a studio practice just out of college but never felt disciplined enough or had much direction creatively. Although I’m still finding my way, after a decade-long hiatus, I finally have a practice I’m pretty proud of.

In my former life, pre- two kids, I studied Buddha images in Myanmar, worked in the anthropological collections at the Field Museum, and was a director of the local arts council. I even did a stint as a fit specialist at a lingerie shop and fit women who’d undergone surgery for breast cancer. I’d like to think that this strange accumulation of experiences percolate inside me and are expressed in my artwork, whether consciously or not. So, when you enjoy a piece of my work, remember that is also a little piece of me.
